The Challenge
High levels of work-related stress are contributing to widespread burnout, significantly impacting employees’ mental health, well-being, and productivity. Organizations face increasing pressure to address this issue as burnout—now recognized by the World Health Organization as an occupational phenomenon—leads to exhaustion, disengagement, and decreased performance. Despite growing awareness, many workplaces lack effective, proactive stress management and wellness initiatives to prevent and mitigate these effects.
The Opportunity
Stress-related burnout is becoming an increasingly common issue, with alarming statistics highlighting its impact. According to a 2023 study by the American Psychological Association, 79% of adults report experiencing work-related stress, and 61% say it's affecting their mental health.* Additionally, the World Health Organization identifies burnout as an occupational phenomenon, with chronic stress leading to symptoms like exhaustion, detachment, and reduced productivity.** These statistics underscore the critical need for better stress management and workplace wellness initiatives to prevent burnout and support mental health.
Our Approach
To address the challenge, a comprehensive design process was conducted, which included:
Instructional Design Document
The instructional design document outlines the structure, content, and delivery method of the learning course.
Text-based Storybook Design
The text-based storybook design illustrates a deep-dive overview of the interactive learning experience.
Prototype Storyboard Design
The prototype storyboard design is a visual and feel of the learner’s journey.
Solution
The proposed interactive eLearning self-paced approach helps individuals address and manage stress.
